Free Animal Outreach Ministry Training – Coming in August at UBC

Faithful Friends Animal Assisted Therapy Ministry volunteer training: 8:30 a.m.-noon Saturday and Aug. 21 at University Baptist Church, 16106 Middlebrook Drive, Clear Lake.

Volunteers and animal companions visit nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and mental health facilities in the Clear Lake, Pasadena, League City and surrounding areas to spread cheer. No previous experience is necessary. Non-pet owners will be matched with an animal. All animals are temperament tested at a later date to ensure that they show no signs of aggressive behavior.

The training is free.
